you misunderstood what i am saying. 

i have been driving vw all my life; past 10 years. 3 on veg going great, a 2002 tdi nicely moded just waiting to upgrade the turbo for the hybrid 17/22.  

what i mean is it would be nice to have a choice. personally i would not go with honda because they even claimed they dont like diesel engines.  but in reality i am contradicting myself because vw has such a strong infrastructure that i would not trust any other car manufacturer. its just frustrating to deal with wacky electrical problem.

Face it, VW has been the only manufacturer that has been willing to put 
up with a lot of shit and a mound of paper to get their cars into just 
Canada, when the real market is south of the border.
The "diesel is just a carcinogenic fog" epa would have some tricks up 
their sleeve I don't doubt.

Oh, and by the way, what's this bit about diesel in Canada being crap Evans?
