Top Gear also featured a 'testing' of a Toyota Hilux Diesel.

They rammed it into trees and fences, sunk it in the ocean, hit it with a
wrecking ball, and finally set it on top of a apartment building (at least
24 stories tall) that was about to be demolished. They lit it on fire and
dropped a mobile home on it as well

All throughout, the challenge being that it had to keep running with no
spare parts and only wrenches to fix it with.

Sure enough, it kept working all the way through.
