Suppose it depends where the pressure is coming from.  Might just be due a change in 
outside pressure between when the system was last closed and when it was opened.  Or could 
be a slight vacuum being pulled as the hot coolant contracts as it cools (hard to tell the 
difference between a small positive and negative pressure release).  You can always have a 
pressure test done on the cooling system.  Helps detect both leaks that only happen at 
high pressures, or can see if the engine compression is leaking into the cooling system 
and causing it to rise that way.
