Well, moving a washer is about as accurate of a description
as "a half twist." How much force??? It's about as scientific
as a finger painting class!
Tighten that nut until you get no audible movement of the
rear wheel with the tire on as leverage. It'll move but you
don't want to hear it or feel much of any. (NEVER twist a
diesel timing belt!!!)
When that wheel bearing is as tight as it needs to be, it
almost feels like you have it slightly tighter than it needs to
be.
