[Vwdiesel] follow up on manuals, an idiot light and 155bar injectors

Thanks to all who replied to my first post - I'll have a manual on its way
soon. Re the flashing red light in the coolant section of the instrument
package, I've answered my own question -- it reports from the sender on top
of the coolant reservoir and means "add coolant, you idiot!" It appears I
have a pinhole leak in the rad (slight wisp of steam sometimes visible when
stationary with engine running) and I missed this significance of this sign.
I'll clean up the reservoir vessel so I can notice levels even if I don't
unscrew the cap!

 

I expect to receive a rebuilt injector pump any day now, so that's the next
challenge. I'll try to get my 135bar injectors rebuilt to 155 by someone in
my area. Thanks again for the responses.
