[Vwdiesel] injector - head leaks

  You do NOT want to overtorque the injectors into the head.
You also want ot be careful when removing them.  The forward 
lip of the threads can be broken off without a lot of difficulty.  
Pulling laterally as you turn the injectors is a sure way to do it.
  Sounds mostly like you need a new heat shield, need to re-
punker the one you have and clean out the socket it sits in.  
Those leaks are generally from a poor seal between the injector 
and sheled or shield and head.
  It's also possible that the "shelf" the shield sits on has been 
broken out of the head so that all you have for making a seal 
are the threads themselves.  They're not designed to really do 
that.  I have a couple of heads that have been broken in that 
manner.
