Sounds just like the suck side hose on the A2 power steering system.
Even sounds about the same size.
And it is for hydraulic oil.

Find a junked volks, 85-92,  with power steering (most after 86 had it) .
Only tool you need is a sharp knife, and you have a lifetime supply of hose.
It's about 3-4 feet long, maybe 5/8" or 3/4" ID
