[Vwdiesel] Relocating battery

When I have relocated batteries I have used cables from wrecked
cars. A really long and very nice cable come out of a 1970's Jaguar V 12
that had a trunk mounted battery. I have also used the cable from an Audi
5000 that had the battery under the rear seat but the cable runs to the
front of the car so there is enough cable to go from the trunk to the
firewall on a small car. I would put an on-off switch in the firewall on the
passenger side foot well so you can kill the battery power from the
passenger compartment	The long cables are a pain to pull but since the
cars were going to the crusher I have got the cables for free. An hours
worth of time each and a few scraped knuckles were all it took.

Subject: [Vwdiesel] Relocating battery

hello all,

i would like to relocate my battery to the trunk and i was wondering if
anyone knows the least expensive method of doing this. i know there are kit
being sold online but it seems like they are selling glamourized ground
cables with connectors and i do not want to go that route because it would
take forever and i do not want to deal with all the duties, taxes.

thanks
