[Vwdiesel] Relocating battery

  Nope.  They used a group 47 or something like that, in the RF 
corner of the car right below the air filter.  They grounded the battery 
to a sheetmetal strap that's less than an inch wide connected to the 
inner fender there.  There wasn't any paint left on mine due to getting 
hot from starting!  That's enough ground for the car but not the starter 
so I put a large ga. eye to eye cable from there or the battery, to the 
block.  The car would start below 80F after that!
  There were a lot of ground issues especially on Audi tail lights.  They 
got the bright idea that galvanized steel plugs/tracks instead of copper. 
Scuff them much and you end up with rusty steel plugs and connections.
