[Vwdiesel] Relocating Battery.

I have never relocated a battery to the trunk . If I was going to do this I would get some #2 wire from a hardware store like Home Depot or electric supply house. (actually I have some left from some underground wiring I did). I would run the positive cable thru some pcv pipe or old garden hose, get some terminals from an auto parts store like NAPA. I would do the best I could to insulate the positive wire to prevent any short & protect it from rubbing on the ground of the car. I would ground the negative terminal to the body AND run another #2 ground wire from the battery to the engine or transmission. As I recall, some British sport cars (remember Lucas?) & Alpha Romero sports cars would mount the batteries in the trunk & I think some hot rodders do too. Comments welcome as I haven't done this yet but might do so in the future.
