[Vwdiesel] Relocating Battery.

I would disagree with this.
With the amperage we are dealing with in a car starter, as long as the
ground cable goes to the chassis metal in more than one spot, and not to
a part that is spot welded to the chassis, and the points of contact are
kept from getting rusty, you should be good.
It's usually the points of contact that generally suck.

Nothing wrong with two cables either, but done correctly, the chassis is
sufficient ground. In the long run, two cables will make for less
maintenance as well. It depends a bit on how much you are willing to
spend, and how much weight you want to add.
