[Vwdiesel] Glow Plug Relay troubles

I guess that makes sense, though I would be surprised
if some of them would cause my symptoms. This is like
the relay thinks I am turning the key on and off very
rapidly.
The relay doesn't actually care if the GPs are hooked
up or not, it'll turn on for the same amount of time.
(As evidenced by my burned out GPs and subsequent
driving with the wire to them disconnected.) I'd also
be surprised if the temp wire made the relay think
that the switch was being turned on quickly.
However, I did crawl down there and investigate the
ground wire. When I pulled the ground wire to unplug
it, it simply slipped out of the terminal. So, it
looks like a bad connection there.
I put a new terminal on (much more securely attached,
I should say) and started the car with no evident
relay issues. We'll see what happens.
If that fixes it, I'll be happy that it is fixed, but
mad that such a silly, simple thing cost me $45 worth
of new glow plugs!
