I went to look at the 300SD & was quite impressed - for $400. The odometer showed around 264,000 miles or about 427,000 kilometers for you Canadians & Europeans. Good tires, very straight body, good paint, & good upholstery - only a small tear in the drivers seat. The engine turned over & appeared to have compression. He said it overheated & felt it was due to a blown head gasket, but was not able to give any further explination. He has been running it on biodiesel & has a Dodge Cummings diesel pickup he is also running on biodiesel, which he makes from waste vegetable oil. From the car's condition, if the odometer had shown only half the indicated mileage, I would have believed it.
My wife doesn't want me to get it, doesn't want another unfinished project lying around. But if I could sell my two 1981 Rabbit diesel project cars I could probably get it. When I reciently advertised my 1981 Rabbit diesel project cars, I listed a price or "best offer" If you are interested, make me an offer, even a low one & I might consider it.
