Congrads, you are no longer a newbie......
Get some new heat shields from local auto store and
remove that injector, clean the socket hole and put a
new heat shield in there. 27mm deep is needed to
remove the injector and torque it to 55ftlbs if memory
serves, BUT CHECK that figure please before
re-installing the injector. That will "smash" the
heat shield and give you a new seal and stop your
leak.
If the injector is leaking at the split in the body,
that will need to be sent off and have an injector
overhaul for about $10. Wipe it clean, if you can see
it leaking from where the 2 body parts screw together,
then no need to try the new heat shield fix, remove it
and have it overhauled, then put in the new heat
shield, re-install and you will be good to go.
