I had that kind of hose luck when I was given vacuum hose
and was told it was return hose. With the proper (yellow stripe)
diesel return hose, I've had little reuse leak problems.
A little clean solvent like alcohol, brake, carb, or such cleaner
sprayed and then blown off really makes chasing a fuel leak much
easier.
At the injector it could be the supply line loose, damaged taper
on it, bad hose, cracked nipple, leaking between the halves or
the injector shield. The injector shield will usually just make
bubbles and rarely lets fuel out to make the bubbles with.
