That sounds about right probably. Don't know of any choice of
kits other than manufacturer. You do have to stretch them over
the axle a bit. Usually nothing that'd make you cringe though.
You CAN have larger 100mm(?) or 90mm(?) (I think) dia. CV's
though so you DO have that option but that's the bolting flang end.

I was going to say all you needed is a small punch
and a hammer to remove those balancers, at least that's
all mine took anyway. Pin just easily drove out. :-)
Good thing you clipped that boot though or you'd have
never known and prematurely worn out your inner joint.
Might be worth checking the other side too, just in case.
I wouldn't be too inclined to reuse that seal either. :-(
At the dealer I've seen Audis somehow appear to blow
a hole in that seal and leak like that.
Be sure you check your tranny fluid level. Of course
most likely being a 5 speed you about have to do that
by draining, measuring and refilling. :-P
