Here in the "States" it is illegal to retrofit flammable refrigerants in 
automotive A/C systems.

down the page to the section that reads "Beware of flammable refrigerants"

I'd rather be safe than sorry.  Also, your insurance company may deny to 
cover if an accident occurs.

Retrofitting my '81 RabbitTruck to R134a myself was not very difficult.  
I did it about 3 - 4 years ago, hasn't been touched since, still working 
great!
