What's worse a pint of butane or 60 litres of petroleum spirit?  Or did 
someone mention phosgene gas from freon? Besides you drive a Dasher which is 
made of sterner stuff than the Rabbit folk. Probably not available and 
recommended because there are cheap sources which is no good for business or 
the IRS... If it is more efficient then in the interests of global warming 
it should be mandatory. Lower operating pressures mean that less is leaked 
away.Less wear on pump. I believe that a blend with propane is reccomended 
due to the higher freezing point. Propane on its own requires too much 
pressure to liquify apparently.
But I do respect your doubts...
