A lot more trucks, company and privately owned, are installing aux units
that provide heat, cooling, and power for the tractor while parked.
Check (google) Idlebuster
I have a minimal device here, to someday install on my winter beater, called
a "wintermiser".
It's a small diesel fueled hydronic boiler that will heat the engine and
sleeper cabin when the engine is shut down. My problem...it would require a
separate deep cycle battery to power it.
If I lived rural in N.Dakota or Montana, it would be in in a minute
The idlebuster is more elegant because it can supply it's own electricity as
well.
