[Vwdiesel] 4 speed fan switch

I noticed the other day that my blower motor no longer runs with the switch
in 1 position. It is the switch that has 1 through 4 with the defrost symbol
on number 3. It works great in all the other positions just not in 1. I
would take it that the switch is bad? I saw one on Autohauz.com so at least
I can get a new one.  I also had to recharge my AC, it leaked down from last
year and the 134a conversion. No leaks were found and boy does it get cold,
sure feels good on these 90 degree humid NC days.
