[Vwdiesel] 81 Head Bolts

Perhaps you could just use ARP gas Rabbit head studs. They should
help prevent head gasket problems and they are reusable. 11mm diesel head
studs are available from Race-Ware and I have used them with success. They
are more expensive than the ARP and I would believe even tho ARP doesn't
list 11mm diesel head studs that the ARP Rabbit gas 11mm studs should fit.
I'm going to buy a set of ARP 11mm gas Rabbit studs to use in my 11mm 1.6
block that is getting rebored .5mm over and I am installing a 1.5 crank rods
and pistons. I will then install a turbo and intercooler. I will install
this engine either in my 1981 Rabbit diesel pickup or perhaps in my 1990 Fox
station wagon

Are some of the 11mm heads shorter than others? I can't imagine that is the
case.
