[Vwdiesel] OT: Jeep VW Conversion

I am picking up a Jeep Cherokee Chief and plan to replace the V6 2.4L AMC
Engine with a Diesel engine either of Isuzu make or VW Make.

What would be the best way to go aobut this? I know I'll probably need a
transmission conversion and the 4 banger I plan to put in will be much
smaller than the V6 currently in place.
Any recommendations?
