[Vwdiesel] HP to Alt

I did some testing years ago, at WOT.  The min for max alt output,
by my calculations (emphirical and based upon vehicle slowdown)
was between 3.5 and 4.5 hp, at max output.  Since my configuration
included AC, there are losses for transfering power through the 
compressor pully, and that extra belt.

1.6NA, 91 Jetta. The fuel loss factors are: 

-rear aerodynamics (clip on tail?)
-front end aerodynamics
-undercar turbulence
-open windows
-transmission and drivetrain losses
-high rpm gearing at highway speeds, and resultant engine losses
-water pump loading

Somewhere around 45 mph is near optimal for fuel economy, but this
changes with a headwind vs tailwind, and the air density.

The best I've ever recorded tank to tank is about 63 mpg.  It was a
pain.  I believe it's allot easier to improve upon that with a 
TDI (I am sorry to say).
