[Vwdiesel] Learning about VE injection pumps

Likely this has been answered before but ...

 

Is there a source describing VE Injection Pump Operation and Adjustment?

 

As a separate question, I will be buying a rebuilt soon, and am looking
for any tips.  

 

PartsPlace has them for $400.  Does a "Bosch Shop" rebuilt direct
install with the normal timing adjustments or are there other
adjustments needed.
