  Just connect them to a ~10A battery charger or a battery.  If 
they glow up at the tip and consistently then they're good.  No 
glow = bad and glowing on the side only or such means it'd be 
wise to replace it or at least put it in the easiest hole to acces 
and replace when it dies.
