  It's a lot easier to keep up with the antifreeze or check your 
acidity semi regularly.  I don't think I've seen a failed frost plug 
in most cars where the coolant has been maintanied.  Our diesels 
have a couple in the head I believe and the 3 in the side of the 
block and maybe one in the end, not sure there.
