[Vwdiesel] CRX milage, etc

Does anybody here but me remember the size of the CRX and other Hondas, 
Toyotas and the like in the 80's?  They were much smaller cars than today. 
A big part of the loss of fuel economy over the years has been the bloating 
of the cars so that us fat butted Americans can sit in them and to give some 
protection from other fat butted Americans in their even larger SUVS.  Many 
of those cars of the 80's, which got great fuel economy, would not pass 
today's crash tests.  TMTCW  Hayden, not a fat butted American!!!!!
