[Vwdiesel] Anti-Rattle Brake Clip Question

  If it's a ticking sound then look for a nail or rock in the tire.  
Missing anti-rattle clips will sound like your strut is loose or 
shot. It RATTLES on bumpy roads and the slightest brake 
pedal pressure makes it stop.
  The clips are VW specific and I only know of two calipers 
for them.  ATE and Girling.  I believe the ATE are like MB 
calipers.  Use an almost square pad with two loops that pins 
go through.  The more common ones use a long, lightly curved 
I believe, pat that requires caliper removal to replace.  The ATE 
pads only require removing the pins, anti-rattle retainer and 
slide them out!
