[Vwdiesel] Quieter

Yesterday I finally actually put in the new brake
master cylinder.  It had been sitting on my shelf for
almost a year, and when advertising the car I said it
was new, so I figured I'd better do that.

Now, it doesn't try to roll back while sitting at a
stop sign!  Imagine that!  And, the brake fluid is
clear once again!

Also, for the longest time, the engine had been making
a kind of rattling noise.  I had always sort of
assumed that it was just part of having the diesel
engine.  Well, I found that the bracket for the power
steering pump was missing a bolt. 

The bracket kind of swings under the timing belt cover
and has a bolt at the back of the engine.  That bolt
was gone, so the whole bracket would rattle whenever
the engine was running.

Now, the thing is sooo much quieter, I can't get over
it!

I'm starting to have cold feet about selling the car
too, what with gas prices shooting up more and more!
