[Vwdiesel] TDI progress or lack thereof

Don't remember the particulars of your start problem, but here is a possible check.  My 98 Jetta broke a wire going from the drivers side door lock under the rubber boot at the door jam.  Respliced it and Jetta was all better.  There is a sequence of buttons pushed on the key fob and turning of the key will disable the disabler on some of the cars.  I found the sequence on freds tdi forum.
