[Vwdiesel] Analyzing compression numbers - oil in injector hole?

Mine does not give me 7 seconds of glow, so how do i over ride the coolant sensor, disconnect the lead. it starts with min turns when cold and immediatly after shut off though in that inbetween range it can take several cranks to get going again.
Oh, it is a 1.9 idi engine though in a 91 jetta.
