[Vwdiesel] adventures in engine pulling

his boy admitted to doing it some time ago .... by accident he says,
but knowing him he was miffed he couldn't drive it, even though both
rockers are rotted beyond repair, shock tower on the left side is
rotted etc. I'm not too worried about it, originally all I wanted was
the head and various parts I could use on the golf. So if nothing else
I have internal engine parts and a good head and ip, well worth it it.
So ,,,, I ordered a head gasket, I'm gonna leave the intake and exhaust
on it when I pull it and just use those. I am also switching my
cannister fuel filter with the spin on that that jetta had, cheaper
filters to replace, at least around here.

Any tips or trick at getting the exhaust clamps off the down pipe, the
donor was easy, it was rusted off, but the golf .... is very solid.
