[Vwdiesel] Saw new Jetta TDI Sportwagon & Polo TDI

I saw the new Jetta TDI "Sportwagon" at the LA Auto Show last Sun. & Mon., 11/18 &19. VW also has a traveling "Dieselolution" clean diesel exhibit which also displayed a VW Polo 3 cylinder TDI turbodiesel. I really like this car & wish we could get it here. It's larger than I thought, about the size of the first series Rabbit 4 door. They said it gets 70 MPG! I hope the reason they displayed the Polo is they are considering selling it here. If they do, I think they would sell like "hotcakes". I liked the TDI Jetta Sportwagon very much & they said it will go on sale this summer, 2008. They expect the TDI to sill for about a $2,000 premium over the equivalent gas powered model. They also displayed a cut-a-way example of their new "automatic" twin clutch transmission. I would be afraid of that transmission, if it ever required repair after the warranty is up.Just give me a 5 or 6 speed manual.
