There was a cat out at Wardencliff named Tesla that was doing just that,
using a tunable transformer that was set to resonate at the resonant
frequency of the planet. Although not the intent, it is still the site
of the longest man-made bolt of lightning. When the elecricity supply
became contaminated with ginormous feedback pulses, the generators
popped and the experiment ended. And that was it, Nicola was cut off,
and there were no repeats unfortunately.
