If you are going to do all that work, why don't you try & obtain a good used Lupo TDI engine & drive train from Europe & transplant it into a good used Geo Metro with a blown engine? I don't have the ability to do such conversions  but I think some of you do. Or perhaps some other diesel engine would make a good transplant into a Geo Metro. I think this would be legal since we can't import VW Polos or Lupos into "our so called free country". Does anyone out there know of any successful conversions of Geo Metros to diesels?
