   I presume you're going to a manual, push-button activation 
system?  If you want the original relay I THINK '81 and later has 
the relay socket seperate from the panel and it seems like the 
socket for a gasser's fuel pump is also the same.  That'd give 
you back the automatic system.
  Check classic Mustang parts houses and such for a Ford Relay.  
I can vouch that the '66 6 cyl models used them so there's an app 
for you.  GM also used basically the same relay on the 6.2 diesels.  
The controller uses it to cycle the plugs on and off.  I KNOW an 
'83 GMC 3/4 ton 6.2 van has one!
