I took an AAZ block to the local machine shop to be
bored out. I provided the oversized piston set and
told them the engine type, model, etc. I get it back
and the bore is ~10/1000" bigger than what the VW book
(not bentley, but the VW ahu/1z/aaz book) says it
should be. Now what? Do i worry? my concern is that
with a high compression engine, the bore makes a BIG
difference. The piston i got were the 2nd oversize, so
that was my last chance at this. Next step are sleeves
i guess. suggestions? i have not talked with the shop
yet.
