[Vwdiesel] Speedometer repair

If it didn't take much of a yank, maybe it wasn't seated properly, or the catch brocken, 
  because there is a catch that locks it in place, and when I had to replace my cable it 
  needed a bit of pressure to lock it in, because I thought it was fully in place, but the gear 
  wasn't engaged.The catch hook is on the side of the cable on the speedometer end.
