[Vwdiesel] injector pump shutoff solenoid wiring

Go ahead and take the connector apart, test light away, if the wiring
connections inside the connector are so bad that it can't stand being
taken apart, it can't be functioning properly either.
As Sandy sez, the black with yellow trace is power to solenoid, brought
to you direct from the hot, unfused side of the fuse panel, by way of
the ignition switch. I like to get an inline fuse into that circuit at
some point, usually where it exits the wiring harness.
Hell, you can tear the 9v battery and connector wire out of one of your
devices, like, say a guitar effects pedal, and use that to directly
power the solenoid for quite a while. Jumper to the battery, whatever,
it all works, no computers. Lord help us if they ever load Vista into a
car ecu. That would effectively end global warming methinks.
