[Vwdiesel] 1.5 displacement increase?

Mainly a stroke difference in the 1.5->1.6->1.9 (1.9 also has a larger bore):

I know the 1.9 block is ~3/8" taller than the 1.6 block.  Not sure if the 1.5 and 1.6 
blocks are similar or not.
