[Vwdiesel] clutch cable

I think I need a clutch cable for my 91 na jetta. When I looked
online for one I discovered that there are two available. One,
self-adjusting and the other not. I don't have my Bentley here
with me. How do I tell the difference? I think I have the 
non adjusting one but I am not sure. Any clues?
