  Mine wasnn't rusted or anything, just pressed on the shaft.  By 
the time I got it off I found that the armature was pressed on the 
shaft with less holding force than the fan!  It never worked quite 
right after that even after knocking things back as close as I could.  
I'd strongly suggest drilling a hole through the hub as the FIRST 
line of attack.  :-P
