  Similar on my '85, noise, bubbles, drips, mostly at the top and 
bottom.  Glass guy said he sees that a LOT but very rarely 
with an original windshield installation.
  Yeah, he cut the nozzle "just so" and put a TALL bead of 
sealant all around when he did my Passat.
