  From what I've seen you're more likely to end up with a 
deal on an Egyptian mummy than finding a 300D with a 
manual tranny!  On the good side, the bugs were apparently 
mostly out of the designs by '85.  We were told several years 
ago that MB wouldn't even rebulid anything older than that 
due to problems that make the early 700-R4 trannys look 
bulletproof.
