[Vwdiesel] more oil choices was Bad Oil Change Experience

Hi Folks;
	Probably the second most popular regular diesel specific oil after
Delo 400 15-40 is Shell's Rotella T 15-40. I have been using Shell Rotella T
full synthetic 5-40 for the last couple of years and am very satisfied with
it. I like the thought of the extra protection of a full synthetic if one
should get the engine a little hot. The shell Rotella T synthetic is a
diesel specific oil and I think it is important to use an oil that is diesel
specific. I buy it at Wal-Mart for just under 17 bucks a gallon.
	My 1981 Dasher diesel station wagon used just under a quart on my
recent 2 week 5700 mile trip from Washington State to Texas and back by way
of California.

Looks like it is conventional (if labelled "Delo 400 Multigrade"):

There seems to be a Delo 400 Synthetic as well.

I guess they have gotten away from the Delvac names, used to be Delvac 1300
was
conventional and Delvac 1 was synthetic.
