[Vwdiesel] something worth trading the A-4 in for

I am beginning to wonder about this concern about power versis torque. The main thing that attracts me to diesels & VW diesels is fuel economy, not winning drag races. I know a lot of hot rodders & street rodders arn't concerned about fuel economy, even as $5 a gallon gas approaches ($5 diesel is already here, in Calif. at least), but I am.I would prefer discussions on how to achieve maxium fuel economy.
