[Vwdiesel] shift rod bearing

I have the Teflon Shift Rod Bushing Kit and Shift Rod Weight from Roger
Brown, really nice stuff, shifts nicer than it ever did when it was new.  I
installed it at the same time as a Tectonics Tuning Short Shift setup that
was included in their SS Down Pipe.  Works really nice.

I'm finding all kinds of things now with the head off. I have been having
problems with getting into 5th gear. Some times it goes right in smooth but
more so it has been a royal pain getting into 5th. All the other gears are
fine.

 

I noticed that my shift rod bearing bushing is shot, gone, not existent,
just a rod flopping around in a bracket. How hard is it to replace what use
to be a bushing/bearing there?
