I would agree, a MC would cause all the wheels similar problems.
A soft pedal is either air in the system (run with a very low fluid
level) or a bad hose or two.
If you have brake problems and check the MC and find the level low or empty,
putting brake fluid in the master cylinder at that point is only a portion
of the fix, the brakes will have to be blead at all four wheels, else you'll
continue to have a soft pedal.
A bad hose can cause all kinds of problems, soft pedal, unpredictable
braking, hung pads, overheating, excessively fast pad wear and eventually
when they burst, brake failure.
In the far out chance they put the wrong spring on the adjuster, it should
be a very light spring not the shoe type heavy spring, I suppose it could
over tighten the adjuster.
