  Advantage:  There IS a magnet near the pinion bearing. 
Disadvantage:  There is a magnet near the pinion bearing!  When 
it gets full, the metal it's collected, starts sluffing off and into 
the pinion bearing, damaging it.  :-(  
  Any time you have one of these trannys split, it's a REALLY 
good idea to pull it down a little further and clean that magnet 
and inspect the pinion bearing.
