That posting is quite interesting. The location, Redwood City, is in the SF Bay area, about 3 hours from where I live. If someone could source that Lamborghini engine (that firm primarily makes tractors, not expensive sports cars) or some other light weight air-cooled fuel efficient diesel that would fit in the VW Beetle's engine compartment & easily mate up to the existing transaxle & then market the setup as a kit at an affordable price, that person might be able to make a small fortune. Perhaps there is a suitable engine in China that could be modified to fit in the rear of a Beetle & then sold in this country. Maybe I am just dreaming.
